Smart Driver Coaching B.V., the company that operates the Smart Food Tracker app ("we", "our", or "us"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Smart Food Tracker mobile application ("the App") collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

Smart Food Tracker is a general wellness and informational tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It performs no measurement using your phone or tablet — health values such as weight, glucose, and blood pressure are entered by you. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decisions.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the App's features. All data below is linked to your account and used to operate the service — never for advertising or marketing.

2. How We Collect It

Directly from you — when you register, complete onboarding, log meals and health values, or upload a photo.
From your device, with permission — camera (to scan meals and take photos) and photo library (to select existing photos). Images are compressed on your device before upload.
Automatically — a Firebase Cloud Messaging push token so we can send you notifications and reminders.
App-to-app sign-in — if you open the App from a partner app (e.g. Apployee) via a secure single-sign-on link, a session token is passed to sign you in. It is used only to establish your session.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the App's features (scanning, diary, goal tracking, suggestions).
Personalize your targets and meal suggestions.
Send reminders and service notifications you enable.
Secure your account and prevent misuse.
Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or data brokering, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. Permissions

You can grant or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. Your data is sent only to our own backend service to operate the App. We may share data with service providers that host or support the App, or where required by law. We do not share your data with advertising networks.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the App under Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us (see Contact). When we process a valid deletion request, we delete or anonymize your personal data unless retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Logging out or uninstalling the App does not by itself delete your account.

7. Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, to object, and to data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Third-Party Services

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivers push notifications; processes a device push token according to Google's privacy terms.
FatSecret — provides the food/ingredient and nutrition database that powers ingredient search and nutrition details. When you search for a food, the search term is processed through our backend to return matching nutrition data. FatSecret processes data under its own terms; results are shown in the App with a "Powered by FatSecret" attribution.
Apple App Store / Google Play billing — process in-app subscription purchases. We receive a purchase token and your subscription status to unlock Premium; we do not receive your payment card details. Purchases are governed by Apple's and Google's terms and refund policies.

We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted with an updated "Effective Date."
